Midweek goodness

I know I shouldn’t do midweek weigh-ins, but I did and it was fun and encouraging and a whole pound! According to this morning’s scale reading I’m down to 163.7, we’ll see if that holds up until Sunday, but even if it doesn’t I know I’m headed steadily down- which is fantastic! I really believe that I’ll get to my goal this time around. We have been at this for 7 whole weeks now, and there have been quite a few little hiccups and speed bumps along the way, but we are making a true lifestyle change and aren’t letting those little slip ups sabotage our long-term goals.

The weather has been a lot nicer lately and today is no exception. I will be done with class and meetings fairly early this afternoon, so I plan to come home and go on a run outside rather than working out with the elliptical machine (fun, but really now, I’d rather be outside! ). My mom and brother are coming over for dinner tonight- she’s bringing steaks, which I haven’t had in a while. Should be good! We are going to do them on the grill and I will probably be baking a few baguettes this afternoon if all goes as planned.  I see steak sandwiches in our future. Mmmm.
